The 2007 Pontiac G6 is available in four door sedan, two door coupe, and retractable hardtop models. This flexibility in options for the car is not applicable only to the body style, but also is reflected in three different engine choices are available on the G6.

This is a normal way for a car maker to offer a car that they are basing much of their line off of, such as with Pontiac and the G6. The car comes with a four speed automatic transmission most of the time; however, there is a model that is available with a six speed automatic transmission instead.

There are also more than enough additional options that can be selected to customize the car to provide the perfect solution to any auto buyer’s needs. The 2007 Pontiac G6 is available in enough different models and configurations to perfectly suit any auto buyer that is in the market for a new car.

'06 Pontiac G6

The 2006 Pontiac G6 is the car that is going to be the new basis for the rest of the Pontiac line. Pontiac relied on the Grand Am for so long to carry its line, and this G6 stands for the sixth generation, which shows that Pontiac is trying to carry on its proud reputation with the G6.

In 2005 the only engine that was available was a 3.5 L G6 engine, now that has become just one of three selectable engines, depending on the exact G6 that you want to buy. There is a more efficient four cylinder available, and a 3.9 L V6 is available for those who want a little more power under the hood of their new Pontiac.

The 2006 Pontiac G6 represents the maturation of this new name for the brand that will replace the very large shoes of the Grand Am as the flagship vehicle in the Pontiac line.

'05 Pontiac G6

The 2005 Pontiac G6 is the car that has come to replace the car which has been the backbone of the Pontiac line for so many years, the Grand Am. The Pontiac Grand Am was a solid, reliable, powerful, and stylish car throughout all of its incarnations, and the G6 is a great new direction for the backbone of the Pontiac line.

The G6 is going to be available in all sorts of different configurations. The base model is a four door sedan with a 3.5L V6 engine. Shortly thereafter two door coupes and convertibles are going to be introduced which will appeal to the younger auto buyers that are looking at Pontiac for their next car.

The 2005 Pontiac G6 is a readily affordable car compared to other vehicles in its class. The convertible G6 provide a speedy and sporty alternative for those who want something a little bit more exciting for their first vehicle.

FAREWELL, GRAND AM

The 2005 Pontiac G6 will be remembered as the sedan that finally replaced the Grand Am -- a blueprint of what future mid-size Pontiacs came to look like. I have seen the future, and the future is a little on the bland side.
Gone is the side cladding and rear spoiler, replaced by a rather generic looking spoiler lip. Still, while the 2005 Pontiac G6 lacks some of the pizzazz of its predecessor, I will say it handles a bit better on the open road. (Thanks mostly to a newer, much longer wheelbase.) So you decide if it's right for you -- we've got all the automotive pics, specs, reviews and pricing to help guide you. And if you say thumbs up, well by golly we've got some financing info too.

2007 Pontiac G6

One look at the 2007 Pontiac G6 reveals that the G6 series is shifting the stress away from performance to now lay emphasis on the comfort of passengers. The additions made in the 2007 G6 make this evident. However, the vehicle does not compromise on performance at all, still providing a good 33 mpg of maximum mileage on the highway.

The base model of the sedan version of the 2007 Pontiac G6 provides two options for engines – a 2.4-liter Inline-4 delivering 169 hp and a 3.5-liter V6 producing a more commendable 224 hp. The convertible version has a 3.5-liter V6 with slightly lower horsepower, 217hp. The options for the transmission are varied, including a four-speed automatic, a six-speed automatic, and a six-speed manual (with a 3.9-liter V6).

Side curtain airbags are made compulsory in the 2007 Pontiac G6 in order to reinforce safety. A sunroof is also provided, making this car as attractive as it is comfortable.

2006 Pontiac G6

It is no wonder that the 2006 Pontiac G6 happened to be a leader in the market for vehicles manufactured by Pontiac. The earlier 2005 sedan set the standard, but in 2006, Pontiac introduced coupe and convertible versions of the G6. What was more, the convertible had a retractable hardtop.

The sedan version of the '06 G6 offers the option between a 2.4-liter I4 engine, generating 167 horsepower and a 3.5-liter V6 powering up to 201 horsepower. Even though the automatic four-speed transmission is common to all the G6 models, the GTP trim package optionally incorporates a 6-speed manual transmission as well.

The 2006 Pontiac G6 has a number of features to enhance control and maneuverability, such as the anti-skid mechanism in the GTP trim package and the optional antilock braking system or ABS. Leather upholstery, remote startup, and powered pedal adjustment make the 2006 G6 provide an unforgettable driving experience.

2005 Pontiac G6

Even though the 2005 Pontiac G6 externally gives the impression of being another sedan model introduced by an automobile manufacturer, the real situation is quite the contrary. As correctly claimed by the manufacturer, GM, this car involves new design and configuration concepts that are capable of delivering improved performance on the road.

The 2005 Pontiac G6 (also designated as the “Grand Am”) uses a V6 front side engine with a capacity 3.5 liters. The multi-point fuel injection mechanism assures a commendable 30 mpg on highways and 20 mpg on urban tracks. The four-speed automatic transmission is derived from the Malibu automobile, originally produced by Chevrolet. With it, the V6 is capable of generating up to 200 horsepower and 220 lb-ft of torque.

Comfort features in the 2005 Pontiac GT include the suave leather upholstery, a satellite radio service, and even a sunroof. Multiple airbags ensure the safety of the driver and passengers, making this a car that is fully loaded for the fast lane.
